The Algarve

The villa is approximately one mile from the popular resort of Armacao de Pera. The beach is one of the longest in the Algarve and stretches almost to Albufeira in the east, and mile upon mile of soft, golden sand

Water-skiing, jet-skiing, paddle boats, parascending and boat tours to the local caves and coves are all available from here. Although its popularity has lead to some development the town still maintains a traditional character with the fisherman’s cottages making up the core of this ancient village and there is still a daily fresh fruit and fish market.

Armacao de Pera has a wide selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. After a meal you may choose to enjoy a walk in the cool of the evening along the promenade under the palm trees whilst the street entertainers and stalls may tempt you to buy exotic gifts.

The Algarve is not surprisingly, one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. Its natural beauty and character has been enhanced further by sensitive development of tourism facilities to rival any in the world. The International Airport at Faro is the first destination for most visitors and offers regular flights from most European countries and is only 40 minutes away from Casa Jaimie.

From arriving here an endless number of opportunities awaits: miles of fine golden sandy beaches bathe in the blue and green waters of the Atlantic; Take a boat trip or snorkel the clear waters and explore the caves and coves that line the rugged coast; Play golf on one of the many Championship courses; Visit some of the historic sites, buildings and castles; Enjoy the thrill of the water slide parks or the water sports available at the exotic coves and beaches; Experience the rich culture, food and wine of the Portuguese; or just relax by the pool and savour the year round sunshine.
